2015 Texas Trike Reunion
I've been in contact with George Lewis about the 2015 TTR. He will not be able to head up the planning and organization of the event. I'm willing to help with the event I'm just not sure I can take on the whole thing, it would be great if at least one other person would step up to help arranging things. Looking at the calendar I'm thinking April 23rd 24th and 25th. Easter is April 5th next year. Thoughts and suggestions....

John, as of now, those dates look ok for me. I was not surprised to here that George was ready to pass the baton, and wish that I lived closer to help out, but the last time this Maryland boy tried to help with something in another state, I got the what for. However, if you find that there is something I might be able to lend a hand with, I would be happy to try and throw my weight behind it, LOL. Keep me posted and be safe while out on your ride.

Been emailing back and forth with George Lewis, I've settled on a weekend for the 15TRR it will be April 23rd - 25th, so mark your calendars and get ready for another Hill Country Reunion.
As soon as I get a hotel lined up I'll let everyone know. Probably the Super 8 again, but I don't have a block of rooms or a room rate yet.
We'll be contacting Neal's to see if we can arrange a Saturday lunch, but that's not as urgent as hotel reservations. If anyone has a better suggestion for Saturday lunch let me know, it has to be a place that accommodate 50 plus people.
We'll meet the Northern riders at Cooper's in Lano on Thursday as before everyone is welcome to ride along.
As most of you know this is a very informal get together, there are no venders or agenda other than get together and ride and have fun!
If you're interested in going send me a PM ASAP so I make sure and get a large enough block of rooms.
I'll be putting together a list of those coming just as George and done in the past, I'll let you know when to start sending me that information shortly.

OK, George is watching after the new kid.
It should read 15 TTR not 15TRR.
And lunch is on Friday the 24th not Saturday the 25th....
Thanks George!

Sorry for the delays, I never knew it could be so hard to get a motel to setup a block of rooms and give me a price!!!!
Anyway we are setup at the Super 8 in Kerrville 830-896-1511. The rate is $64.95 for single occupancy and $74.95 for double occupancy. You have to call the motel direct to get these rates, but I recommend checking the web first, Super 8 may be running a special that can beat these rates, you never know. When you call the motel make sure and tell them you are with the Texas Trike Reunion (or TTR) so they can try and put us all in the same area of the motel. The sooner you call in the better chance you'll have a getting the room you want and in the area of the motel with the rest of the group.
Once you've made your reservations please send me a PM with your board handle, your real name, your email address and phone number (preferable your cell if you'll have it with you at the Reunion). This information is all optional, but would be appreciated so we have a count and a way to get in touch with you in case things change before or during the Reunion.
After the first of the year I'll start working other details.

Just a heads up, I just found out that there will be 3 motorcycle groups and a car group in the Kerrville the same weekend so if you think you'll be coming I'd suggest you make your hotel reservations real soon!

Hey John, would welcome your thoughts on a route I am working on to avoid Houston and I-10, while working my way over to Kerrville. Can you tell me what you think of the following: Out of Beaumont, take 90W to FM1960 W (I like that year) to 45N then take FM2920 to 290. Take 21 south to 20 south over to 142W. Take 80W to 35 south than take 12W to 306 to 281 to 473 as I head over to Kerrville. Any thoughts on this? Or, should I hold my breath and head over through Houston on I-10. Thanks for any suggestions.

Jim,
I'd suggest a little change to your route, 90 isn't too bad, but 1960 is just one light after the other. In Beaumont take 96/287 to 105, follow 105 all the way to Brenham and pickup 290 there. It's a little further but the biggest town you have to go through is Conroe. Don't forget Blue Bell Creamery is in Brenham! They do tours and samples!
I see you have your route going through Lockhart, good choice for BBQ, try Smitty's Market.
Looking forward to see you soon.

Lunch in Llano at Cooper’s
We’ll meet in the back parking lot of the YO Ranch, about a quarter of a mile West of the Super 8 on Highway 16. We’ll leave from the YO Ranch at 9:00AM and ride to Luckenbach for a short stop. We’ll make a short comfort stop on the way to Luckenbach in Comfort. From Comfort we’ll head to the Old Tunnel State Park for another brief stop then on to Luckenbach. We should reach Luckenbach around 11:00AM. From Luckenbach we’ll head on to lunch at Cooper’s in Llano arriving around 1:30PM. After lunch it’s an open ride to where ever you’d like to go. Join up with some old friends or new ones and have a great afternoon.
More information to follow on Friday’s lunch ride.
If you haven’t PMed (or emailed me at jbourg@omsi.net) me that you’re coming please do so. Include your board name, real name, email address and your cell phone number. This information will not go any further than me. It will only be used to contact you about the event or during the event.
