On a fall color ride with my hottie on the BRP, we ran into intense fog above ~5000 ft. Caught behind traffic slowing us down and knowing a front is due to bring really bad weather, I decided to bail and head back towards Knoxville. GPS said the fastest route was by 151, so we took it. Damn! That is one fine ride! A little touch-and-ho with it wet and leaf covered today, but what a ball! I'll have to try it again in better weather.

Shorty led a group of us down that road a few years ago. I think it was in the fall during the Bryson City Chili Ride. It felt like a down hill Deal's Gap.
