Not long ago I was approached by a fellow that wanted to get back into riding. Many years ago he was a motor-cross rider and broke his back becoming a paraplegic. He is a local guy and when we spoke, he told me that while trying to learn more about trikes, he kept hearing about this guy called "Wheels." I asked if it was bad or good, LOL. He had purchased a new to him 1995 (very sharp looking) GL1500 with a solid axle Motor Trike kit on it. Now where have I heard of THAT before, LOL. Well, we spent time chatting over the phone and then the day arrived that we were going to install equipment and make the changes needed that would make for a great ride. Actually took a couple days. What a blast it was to spend time getting to help out. I learned a great deal about the GL1500. Seems they have a problem with the shifter arms getting lose and a fellow rider made/invented a bracket that helps to secure (tighten up) the shifter spindle. Lots of fun. We still need to work on changing his brakes around a bit, and I dug out all my old Motor Trike lines that will be used on his trike. Looks like I got another local riding buddy.
