While getting the Red Head all gussied up for the local Bike Show, I noticed that the idle was sitting at 1,100. Let the bike till it was cold and started it and left it go till the fans kicked in to reset the ECM. Turned her off (usually it's on, ;-) ) and again waited and still sitting about 1,000 RPMs. My guess is there was a tweak with the reassembly from the engine work. Guessing I am looking at pulling her top off and making some adjustments.

Throttle cable a little to tight? Bad ECM causing the idle to run high? Is she throwing any codes? If not, I would bet is just the throttle cable. Afterall, you just had her guts ripped out and put back in. One vein that doesn't have enough slack wouldn't be surprising.

I think you need to take it back and have the cases split :0) LOL..............................I am sure that is just what "expert advice" I would get if I mentioned this one an old site I once belonged too. I still chuckle when I recall the conversation I had with this one fellow who when I asked about my ADG being replaced, told me just that. That the "case would need to be split." I have a great deal of trust with Michael and when I mentioned this conversation with him................well............let's just say that he chuckled.
