Over the course of my riding (10 years now), I have had the pleasure of meeting many good people. Riders, Installers, and Dealers. Friendships have been formed that will last a lifetime and all because of some unique twists and turns of metal, aluminum, and plastic. These "boards" have served to allow for these friendships to flourish and stay in touch until the next gathering, ride, or, trip to the installer. Recently, while chatting with the "Great One," he shared with me that something completely unexpected presented itself as an opportunity or as The Godfather would say: He was made an offer he could not refuse. Seems a local businessman who owns a wide variety of companies in "his" neck of the woods realized that "his" talents would fit in nicely with the companies mission, thus a fantastic offer was made.
I could tell that making this decision was a tough one given that my buddy was well known in the Trike/Bike community and helped to put a smile on the face of many. His fingerprints will last a long time on the Trike Community for all that he has done, and for the company that he worked for. Like any guy with a stellar reputation, there were (and will be), a few detractors who due to their own short comings, would/will try and tarnish the otherwise stellar reputation of this guy, but much like those few who would make these attempts, they are empty and misguided.
Today the Trike Community, along with Hannigan Trikes bids farewell to a John Lee as he moves on to tackle what sounds like an incredible opportunity for him and his family. Join me in wishing continued success to a great guy and good friend. Congrats my brother and continued success in this new endeavor.
