What started out as a small gathering of adventurous Goldwing riders exploring the deep mountain outback of Renovo, PA, grew quickly over the years to a point where a new destination was in order that could accommodate our growing numbers, but still offer challenging roads with fantastic scenery. We found that in the hills and hollers of Marlinton, WV. For several years the annual pilgrimage took place at the host motel, the Marlinton Inn. While providing the bare essentials of bed, shower, parking, and food, there was a call for something different. Well, we have it.
I made calls to the Resort of Snowshoe and believe it or not, they actually will allow us to stay with them. LOL Details you ask, well, here they are:
Where: Snowshoe Resort, 10 Snowshoe Drive, Snowshoe, WV 26209
When: July 14 – 17, 2016
How Much: $61 per night plus Tax
Ask For: “Renovo Revisited – Code 51B78W” when calling to make your reservations
Phone: 877-441-4386
We have a block of 15 rooms that will be held at this price until mid May so call soon. We will have access to various activites at the resort so should be fun.
You know what they say - - West Virginia, Wild and Wonderful.
I know that Howie has posted this at "that" location so I think we are all set on getting the word out.

Morph Hey Buddy, the hotel has told me that we have a really good showing. I have not gotten a headn count, but it sounds like it will be good. Dan and the local guys are going as well as some others. Should be fun. I need to get out some info that the hotel shared with me that folks can do while at the Resort. Will try and do that soon. Hope all is well.

Well, I have been forcing myself to learn this new to me Garmin Base Camp and man what a pain. However, I finally was able to put a couple of suggested rides together that you might consider. The one in Red (the Red Head made me do it), will be to the Paint Bank General Store where we can enjoy some lunch (yes food is involved), and then on our return there will be a stop at a local Distillery (yes, that too) that has some really good "stuff." The other ride is a more scenic ride where some have reported seeing bears and other wildlife. Some great pull offs with good picture vistas. For the "old timers" I tried to work in a few new to us roads and for the newbees, well, it will be a fun couple of rides.

Howdy everyone. Just wanted to mention that with all the flooding in the WV area, I called Snow Shoe and given that they are on a mountain, they are of course, open. They did mention that many area roads have been impacted by the floods. I have been, and will continue to try and identify what roads included in out ride that might be impacted and report back. If your plans change with regards to attending, please let me know so that I can share that on facebook as well so as to try and keep everyone informed. Also, please share this as well. Thanks.
