Y'all try to stay dry now... Check in here and let us know how you fare In Kingstree SC with the mission team 8 Days of Hope to work on homes from the flood of the Black River in October 2015 when Kingstree got 25" of rain. The rain has finally stopped but not before more flooding of Black River again. Power has been out since mid morning, trees and power lines down, some roofs blown off.

Rode it out in Edgewater, FL. House was about 5 miles from coast. My first hurricane. Can cross that off my bucket list.

I survived here in Jacksonville. For me, it was pretty much a non-event. I'm about 35 miles from the coast and as luck would have it, as the storm came up from St. Augustine, it moved a little further east so by the time it got off the coast here in JAX, I was about 70 miles from the center. I never lost power. Got some wind and a few "gusts" but a lot of rain. Most of the rain was just slow and steady with an occasional downfall. No flooding, no downed trees. Again, for me, a non-event. The people along the coast, from JAX to St. Augustine down to Flagler Beach, they got HAMMERED! There are scenes like this all up and down the coast on A1A, where the highway gets close to the ocean. Many of you who have been to Bike Week in Daytona have ridden this route and know just how pretty this area is. A1A will be closed for MONTHS. Lots of repairs to do. Here is a GREAT image of the damage.

Glad you came out fairly unscathed. Also thankful it wasn't worse, but looks like the Carolinas ended up getting walloped by flooding.
