This sure has been an enlightening, although confusing thread. I must have had my head in the sand all this time, because I was never aware of all these "behind the scenes" activities that went on.
I don't even know who most of these people are that are being referred to since it is being done discretely. And since at least some of it happened face to face, I'm guessing that something must have happened at one of the board get togethers.
One thing is certain. My thread is going to be the biggest for a long time, at least until somebody brings up Harleys, BMW's, or front end wobble.

I think of this thread as a new puzzle that when you first open the box you think, "man, this something," and than as you start to put the pieces together it all begins to make sense and you start to see the whole picture. LOL
It does get some looks and it has drawn interest, and as requested, has brought about some "traffic."

This really does wrap back around to one of the first points that your thread brought up, and that's traffic. Not to mention the unraveling of the social network that existed on the other forum. It's one (very, very large) soap opera that I really don't feel like keeping up with. Y'know, kinda like Sons of Anarchy, though this might be better described by some as www.sonsofarthritis.com/

Looks like some good "traffic" to me......all things considered of course. Just checked and while I am unable to confirm how things are for others, "my" social network appears to be in good shape, regardless of the shape that I am in and having never watched Sons of Anarchy, I am unable to draw any connections as suggested. (Editors Note: Just doing my part to "keep it alive.")

Actually, I get most of my fuel from Carbs, which I know I need to work on, but it's so darn hard to give up on a little warm bread and butter with your meal. But I digress. In so far as this fixation on soaps, The Guiding Light was the longest of them all, and thus I now see that you are on to something here, given that included within this post is a great deal of information that sheds Light on some extremely important information that when viewed will Guide the reader to a better understanding of what some would otherwise not know. While some might cast a jundace eye towards such a thing, I must share that some really good things can come from a good Soap, as in Susan Luci Oh, sorry..........am I showing my testosterone levels again. LOL

I ,for one, appreciate the Light that has been shed on past exploits, exchanges, and ex communications in an attempt to Guide the less knowledgeable participant toward the Path of understanding. The Truth will will set you free.

I had my first run in with a moderator on the other board yesterday, sort of indirectly.
A good friend of mine that I work with also helps me on the bench with my radio business when I get backed up. (He is a really good tech.) He also has a Wing, but until recently avoided the message boards. After I told him about all the crap that goes on there, he decided to spend some time there and have a little fun with some of the brain dead types. He has a lot less tolerance for people that say stupid things than me, so use your imagination.
Yesterday, while we were working in the shop, he got a Private Message accusing him of having two screen names, which is not allowed. I guess this moderator was investigating IP addresses and found that he was posting from the same IP that I post from. He tried to respond to the PM, but found out that this moderator doesn't accept PM's. (Duh!)
I probably should login just to see if I also got a PM, but I don't really care. I have something ridiculous like 15,000 posts over there, which is nearly the highest of all time on that board. When the hell would I have time to post from a different screen name?
I guess what these clowns are going to force me to do is run my network through an anonymous Proxy server if they are going to start invading my privacy at that level. My friend can run from a separate proxy server, and that would pretty much solve that problem.
Or I could really mess with their heads and reboot my modem every day so that I have a different IP address every time I go to the site. I don't think I have logged in for about a month, but I should go back for awhile with a different IP each time just to show this moderator that he isn't as clever as he think he is.
It just goes to show the level of scrutiny that they are resorting to now.
